Peachy Dream


From reader Jessica R.:

1 cup self rise flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 stick butter
1 can sliced peaches (and juice)

– Put the butter in a baking dish, in the oven to preheat to 350.
– Mix flour, milk and sugar into a dreamy, clump-free batter.
– When the butter is melted, pour the batter into the dish.
– Open the peaches and GENTLY pour into the middle of the batter. – Go slow, hot butter on you hurts. DO NOT MIX!
– Carefully place back into the oven for 50 minutes.

You can add nutmeg or cinnamon if you’d like – makes it all the more dreamy. Serves well with ice cream. Makes a hell of a breakfast with vanilla yogurt, and even makes your mouth water with some milk and Grape-Nuts.
